Does waxing really make hair grow back lighter and thinner?

I've always been taught that it makes it darker and thickerDoes waxing really make hair grow back lighter and thinner?
shaving makes it darker and thicker.

waxing makes it lighter and thinnner becuase waxing is removing the root of the hair.Does waxing really make hair grow back lighter and thinner?
no, it'll all grow back the same, even if you shave it doesn't necessarily grow back coarser. when it gets to the proper length, the ends will become pointed (as opposed to blunt like when it starts growing back) and look normal. The only reason they really say that is because you usually start shaving before you're fully done with puberty so it looks like there's more and most people never let it get super long to see what it would normally look like.

As for waxing, it will slow growth if you pull out the entire follicle (usually symbolized by bleeding)
Yes waxing or any other form of hair removal where the hair is being pulled from the root will damage the hair follicle a little every time you do it and so over time, the hair grows back lighter and thinner.
when you wax it does get thinner and lighter

the more you do it the less

hair will grow
yes it makes hair thinner
