Is there a good way to remove pubic hair that is cheap but not shaving or waxing? I thought about threading?

I need to cleanup that area for spring bathing suit season. I hate shaving, waxing is just way too painful. Veet and Nair are so expensive and sometimes don't work. I thought about threading but I don't know how to do it. I can't really afford a fancy salon thing, any suggestions? Is there a good way to remove pubic hair that is cheap but not shaving or waxing? I thought about threading?
Well the cheapest way I know and the most effective way without waxing or shaving sounds a little weird but it works. I used to work in this fancy salon and they did this all the time and it cost them about a nickel and they charged 50 bucks. Go to the shaving isle or ethnic hair care isle in your local Walgreen's (or Wal-Mart or Whatever). Usually way on the bottom of the shelf you will see these little cans of Either Soft Sheen Carson Magic Fragrant Shaving Powder or Royal Crown Depilatory Shaving Powder (its cheaper at 1 dollar for 5 ounces). Buy a can of one or the other go home and mix it according to the directions (equal amounts of powder with cool water) leave it on according to the directions remove with the enclosed spatula. Do the allergy test if in doubt first. This stuff is dirt cheap, effective and relatively unknown to basic consumers. I know it says its for Black Men to Fight Razor Bumps but it works well for pubic hair too. I use it on my legs and underarms too without incident. Is there a good way to remove pubic hair that is cheap but not shaving or waxing? I thought about threading?
If you can't afford salon things, don't like waxing, or Nair or Veet, stick to the shaving. Better yet, if you have a partner, let him/her help you. Just an idea...Just use a good men's shaving creme with aloe %26amp; a new razor blade. If you use a new blade, there will be less friction and abrasion.
threading hurts too!!!!
Threading is great but it can be pretty painful as my friend who is a Iraqi Beauty Therapist does it. What you could look into is sugaring...very effective. The main problem will be finding someone who does it..usually middle eastern people/ beauty therapists do it..but when you do find them..it should be alot cheaper than wax ect because they make it themselves! also..threading is grouse for eyebrows..get them to do it while you are there because it comes out very tidy with a beautiful shape :D
outch....threading is very painfull...if you you feel that waxing is painfull for you, well i may say you better leave it as it is...co'z

if you bet...you might get upset...
Since most of the resources available out there you don't want to use I say find youself a can of hairspray, a lighter and a bucket of water to put out the fire.
hair removing cream
You want to talk about expensive and painful! Threading pulls hair out one at a time. If Veet and Nair are too expensive for you, you can never afford threading.

Oh, I just remembered sugaring. It is more expensive than Veet and Nair, but is the least painful. The only brand I can think of off-hand is ';Sweet Simplicity.'; You buy it on HSN, or call: 1-800-682-7778. To get good results you have to do it exactly as they tell you to do it.
Hi!

I know this is going to sound majorly ';ouch'; but try tweezing. Sit down in some good light and tweeze away. Once you get past the first sting of it, usually the first one or two, then you're good to go.

Good luck!
Waxing is the best way to go. I don't know any salons that would thread pubic hair.....you can try and ask, but most would still recommend waxing. If it's too painful for you, try taking a couple of extra strength tylenols 1/2 hour before you get it done. It will decrease the sting quite a bit.

  • Does waxing make hair grow back stubley?

im a girl and have really hairy arms and everyones told me not to shave cos it'll only last a few days and grow back stuble etc etc etc ......is waxing a better option? or notDoes waxing make hair grow back stubley?
yes its better than regular shaving and grows back the same. it also takes awhile to grow back.Does waxing make hair grow back stubley?
no it doesn't, a new hair root has to grow which takes longer and it grows back with a fine tip since it's a new hair. search sugar waxing on youtube

shaving grows back with a blunt tip where the hair was cut, that's what makes stuble.

for some reason some girls seem to be adamantly opposed to removing the hair on your arms but I like smooth arms just like I like smooth legs. Some girls bleach their arm hair but it still feels hairy...
No, and nor does shaving. Hair grows back, How your hair grows back.
    no
    Shaving makes your hair stubbly.

I wax my legs and it comes in smooth. NOT stubbly at all. Plus it lasts a few weeks(like 2 to 3.)

It kind of hurts at the beginning but not as much if you relax. After awhile you get used to it.

I get compliments all the time when I wax. I was hairy too. Under my arms and on my legs.

How do i get rid of unwanted hair without shaving or waxing or tweezing?

They have lotions you can apply that you put them on and then go in the tub and they come out. I've heard it stings a bit but not that bad at all.

If you google it something like that will come up.

Hope this helps!!!How do i get rid of unwanted hair without shaving or waxing or tweezing?
You can use that new ';Smooth Away';.

I bought it about a month ago and it works...it just takes a REALLY long time to get rid of the hair.

Basically there's these extremely tiny crystals that you can't even see that buff away your hair. But it takes much longer then shaving so if you have the time and patience then go for it.How do i get rid of unwanted hair without shaving or waxing or tweezing?
There was an infomercial on something called Smooth Away. I don't know if it works, but it seems like a plausible idea. It's REALLY fine sand paper xD but I was thinking of getting it. You might want to try it if those other ways aren't so approachable for you.

can you bleach with hydrogen peroxide? and how often if waxing or threading?Which is better waxing, threading or bleaching the hair on the upper lip?
i would say threading or waxing (hair disappear for at least few days).

But... if you want to remove hair yourself at home, waxing is much easier and faster - you need only few seconds to remove it with cool wax strips.

    i would bleach it.

What is the best way to remove pubic hair? Shaving, Waxing, Etc.??????

Shaving with an electric shaver is the best way to remove pubic hair because that method leaves you with the least amount of ingrown hairs, and you won't end up with your skin extremely irritated. Razors work too, but frequent shaving with a razor can cause the skin to become too sensitive because most razors actually shave below the skin level. What's most important is to use plenty of lotion after shaving. Lotions or creams soothe the skin. Waxing works good too if you can handle the pain. The effects from waxing can last for weeks, but most women say it really hurts to get the entire bikini area waxed. I can't imagine why any guy would want to get waxed. There is one other option. There is laser hair removal. Laser hair removal specialists say it's supposed to be permanent, but laser hair removal can cost hundreds of dollars. What is the best way to remove pubic hair? Shaving, Waxing, Etc.??????
depends on what you prefer. i prefer just a bikini wax. not the whole thing. too painful. What is the best way to remove pubic hair? Shaving, Waxing, Etc.??????
Depends on what you want. If you don't mind shaving, go that way. Personally, I can't imagine waxing that area! I waxed my legs once and WOAH! Not inflicting that pain in such a sensitive area, no way.
Waxing is a better way of removing the hair, the re-growth is more comfortable, and you don't have it to worry about it for 4-6 weeks, and the pain isnt that bad.

    Doppio Espresso beforehand, easy as!
    Shaving!
Waxing gives the best results but it the most painful. I say go for electric clippers/
The most comfortable way would be to trim it short with scissors or a clipper and then use an electric razor.
for me it's shaving because it's painless and safer. the downside is- you don't get the soft skin that you do if you waxed and hair seems to grow faster when you shave.
    waxing
I started out shaving but now I prefer waxing

How can a girl get all that hair out of her private area without all that waxing, shaving?

I hate nair! It burns.. But I don't want to pay $30, $40 for some old asian lady to touch me down there and it hurt for 2 days. I want to do it my self with out shaving and those annoying red bumps and the bleeding. Nair sucks! What else can I use to get rid of all the hair? i noe this mite sound kinda weird but i cut them with a sisscors i noe this wont get rid of all the hair but its better then having alot

If It's you first time waxing how long will it take till the hair start's growing back?

I have some what hairy legs and I'm planning to them waxed I'm 14 but I wanna know since it's my first time waxing when will it start growing back not when it's fully grown back but when you start seeing lil hair grow back and will it grow back standing up?

:DIf It's you first time waxing how long will it take till the hair start's growing back?
depends....how much waxing is really in your candle??? lets be serious, you need more lactation in your nipples before you can milk that cow!! seriously. If It's you first time waxing how long will it take till the hair start's growing back?
gott let them grow for a few weeks to make sure all the hair is at hte surface. Takes a few weeks for it to grow back, comes in thinner too.

If you bleed, hair wont grown back in that spot :)
about 6 to 8 weeks .I do this professionally . And I always book them every 6 to 8 weeks depending on the persons own hair growth
5-9 days if its your first time even shaving it wont be ';standing up'; yet, but will eventually. everyones body is different and hair grows and different rates.
It depends on hair growth. May be 3 weeksor 2 weeks.
    About 6 weeks

  • Is waxing upper lip hair better than bleaching?

At the moment, I bleach my darker upper lip hair with a cream bleach. it's ok, but I'm wondering about trying to wax it. Would you recommend it? What's the regrowth like? Will it be more obvious as it starts to grow back than it is with bleaching?. Thanks fellow hairy mamas! Is waxing upper lip hair better than bleaching?
It really is a question of how much hair you have and how fast it grows. Among American women hair growth on the upper lip varies from nothing to a full-blown male moustache, and the best method of addressing the situation varies accordingly.

If there's not too much of it, do you really need to do anything? Most guys are OK about women with a slight moustache.

If you do decide you have to do something, then there isn't a simple answer.

Facial (and also body) hair on women comes about in the same way as on men because of

    1) your body being sensitized, before you were even born, to testosterone -- doesn't happen to all girls, but does to many

    2) your body producing high levels of testosterone

The growth rate and coarseness of the hair depends on just how much testosterone is circulating in your bloodstream.

Steer clear of bleaching -- when someone sees you against the light you'll look as if you have a glowing moustache and/or beard.

As far as removing it is concerned it's worth remembering that

    * Waxing, plucking, threading, epilating all pull the hair out by the roots and where the growth is hormonally-driven can actually stimulate a dormant follicle into producing more hair quicker. They also distort the root if done repeatedly, leading to hair growing at strange angles. And you've got to let the hair grow to quite a length before you can repeat the exercise. It can also damage the skin and discolor it. Long-term use of waxing also causes bad wrinkles.

    * Chemical depilatories strong enough to remove the hair are very likely to burn the skin, cause swelling and cause long-term discoloration of the skin.

    * Laser is also liable to cause burning and discoloration and in any case only works effectively on a dark hair/light skin combinantion.

    * Electrolysis is very liable to cause scarring and discoloration of the skin.

Which, like it or not, leaves shaving which does not damage the skin. Best done with a men's-style electric razor, the best of which, for women, are probably those from the men's range of Norelco razors (Philishave outside the US). Most women who try a men's Norelco wonder why nobody ever told them about it before. Is waxing upper lip hair better than bleaching?
bleaching were bettter for me and waxing hurts id get ur upper lip bleached
    ??? dunno

I have a friend who runs a sugar / waxing business. Try her.
Waxing hurts a little bit, but it's much faster than bleaching. You pluck out your hear in a second and the good thing is that it hurts just for that second. I've been waxing myself for over 7 or 8 years and every year I get less and less hair. Now, it's OK for me to wax my upper lip once every two and a half months. So, go ahaid and start waxing.
waxing is anyway better than bleaching
I never thought of bleaching myself, sounds like a good idea. I pluck my upper lip hair with tweezers because I can get rid of the hair immediately when they pop out. I've never waxed for the reason you mentioned, you have to wait for it to grow back (making it obvious) before you can wax again. Plucking is an everyday thing for me but once you get rid of it you don't have to spend more than 5mins a day touching up. Oh, I'm sure you'll be wondering...plucking hurts at first but when your skin gets use to having the hair plucked there's no pain at all. Good luck:-)
I'm not a 'hairy girl' but I do get noticeable dark hair on my upper lip. I also have very pale skin which makes it more noticeable. I've had nothing but problems with waxing because it makes my skin red for days and then I break out where the wax was. I probably went to bad places but it's not worth it for me to try again. I had a worse time with the home waxing stuff. I had a pimple mustache and I was afraid to leave the house. A friend of mine gets waxed at least twice a month and it works great for her and she's barely had a problem (except for the one time they burned the skin off her chin and she won a $10,000 lawsuit) The regrowth seems to be the same every time, no more no less.

I actually do a very bad thing now, I just shave it. My hair grows back in so slowly that it's worth it for me and I only have to do it about every 8 weeks or more. I wouldn't recommend doing that because a lot of people swear it grows back in thicker and darker but that hasn't happened to me and I've been doing it for years.
    yes
Ive had this problem for many years and always had it waxed, but have recently started having electrolysis done every 2 weeks, it is a little painfull but it stunts the growth and eventually stops the hair growing back but is quite expensive.
wax it, otherwise you'll just look like you've got a blonde moustache.
It is up to you whatever you are most comforable with. If you bleach you will have blonde hair instead of dark. Waxing I believe stunts the growth eventually, although it has to be a certain length to be waxed. You could try plucking with a good pair of tweezers.

How much does waxing and or bleaching hair cost???

it is mainly according to where you live....in a city it will cost more say 100.00-200.00 every 2 to three months or if you live in a small town it will cost less. call a salon near you and find out if they offer this service, they will most likely quote you a price over the phone.

Any way of getting rid of hair under eyebrows that doesnt include waxing?

ok so i want to know if there are any ways to get rid of hair under eyebrows that doesnt include waxing..because ive heard that it makes the skin above ur eyes droopAny way of getting rid of hair under eyebrows that doesnt include waxing?
I just pluck. It's easy, free and convenient. It also doesn't hurt anymore when you get used to it. Any way of getting rid of hair under eyebrows that doesnt include waxing?
i just use eyebrow shavers. you can get them in the beauty section of walmart or the family dollar... (or any beauty supply store) they come in bright colors, are really inexpensive and don't hurt. they have a small thin plastic handle with a little blade that has a guard so you can't cut yourself.
Threading or tweezing would be the best hoice if you don't like waxing. I disagree that waxing makes the skin sag but if you don't want to wax, those are the other 2 options I would recommend!

PS - We pluck chickens, we tweeze eyebrows!
    I like plucking my eyebrows.

Waxing/ treading is very good for your face. Bleaching works too but it doesnt take your hair out. What is best for eyebrows and face: hair removal cream, bleaching, or waxing?
Tweeze eyebrows and wax the rest. Don't use bleach as you can tell when someone is hiding hair. Trust me.What is best for eyebrows and face: hair removal cream, bleaching, or waxing?
Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods. Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful. Electrolysis and laser hair removal are ';permanent'; hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged. A review of the various hair removal methods is available at http://3rc.info/
    None of them pluck.
Well....it depends on what you want. Wax hurts a little....but it gets all of the hair. Sometimes it's a little messy, but as long as your careful, it works really well. Hair remover (like a cream...right?) sits on your skin for several minutes, you wipe it off and it takes the hair with it. I've always had a problem with hair remover....it makes my skin....angry. And it seems like it never gets all the hair. Bleaching doesn't make the hair go away...it just makes it a lighter colour. If you go that route, make sure you use bleach for the face.

For my eyebrows, I always just tweeze. I don't do the rest of my face....no need.
    waxing
    waxing
waxing. lasts longer and less chance os chemicals getting in your eyes
plucking for eyebrows...waxing for mustache:) unless that makes you get bumps, then try bleach
tweeze for eyebrows, and removal cream for mustache!
    Waxing.

If i go from shaving to waxing, will the hair stay off for longer?

    i'm taking about legs

i've been shaving for about a year, i used to wax but then stopped. if i start again will i get the same clean removal? If i go from shaving to waxing, will the hair stay off for longer?
    Yes, I think so.

I've never waxed my legs, because I can't ask my parents to let me do that. Techincally, I'm not really supposed to shave my legs, but I do it anyway.

Shaving just cuts the hairs off at the surface, rather than yanking out the roots like waxing does.If i go from shaving to waxing, will the hair stay off for longer?
if you have done waxing before then wouldnt you know already? o.O

i would say yes, because when you wax it it off it pulls from the root of your hair. so it will stay smooth for a couple of months.

but you have to not shave your legs for a loong time, and get them suuuper hairy.

    goodluck =)
theoretically yes. shaving your just getting whats shown on the surface, waxing you pulling out the roots as well. thus more would have to grow.
Yeah it lasts for up to 3 weeks. And if you get it done professionally at a salon then it can last for 6 weeks.
Start waxing again, I'm about to. It's just sooo much easier and you dont have to do it as often as shaving.

  • How long should hair be before waxing?

i've always been a hair removal cream kind of girl because i was so uncomfortable with my body image. i recently lost 12kg which i'm thrilled with and i want to pluck up the courage and go to a salon and get my legs waxed, get my eyebrows done, have a manicure and a pedicure, generally re-inforce my new positive self image but since i've not waxed before i dont know how long leg hair has to be for it to be worth doing??How long should hair be before waxing?
As leg hair growth is long the minimum length for the hair to be removed is 2cm. Shorter hair will not capture the wax and cloth piece. The longer the better it is for hair removal. Also if you wax time by time you will see a reduction in hair growth and one day it will be completely gone forever as your hair follicle gives up. For the eyebrow its less than a cm, every area is different.

Also in waxing dead skin also gets removed leaving your skin clear and smooth. For more in depth info and how to make your wax refer here http://epictureperfect.net/hair_removal.鈥?/a>How long should hair be before waxing?
That is the only thing I really hate about waxing your legs. You have to walk around hairy til it grows out long enough. Kind of defeats the purpose! I just remember going to a new person one time, and I am sure my hair was at least 1/4'; and she wouldn't do it because she said it was too short. Personally if you can go to someone who does 'sugaring', it works the same and is much much less painful than waxing. Congrats on your weight loss! Pamper yourself - you definitely deserve it!
It doesn't matter how long your hair is because the hair goes under your skin so the wax pulls it from it's root. Just wax your legs first before going to a salon after a few weeks so you get used to it. You should wax your legs when the hair gets pricky. It will still remove it even if it's very small pricky.

good job on loosing 12kg. !
No, not 2-3 cm!! you'd look like a horse! half a cm to a cm is fine for leg waxing and eyebrows just let them grow, they will wax what they can and tweeze to shape the rest.

well done on your weight loss!! how did you do it? thats great!
The shorter the hair the more it hurts when plucked from its follicle.

Electrolysis has a longer effect as it kills the hair root thus stopping its regrowth but with 100 hairs to the square inch that's a lot of pain.

I hope this helps your decision.
it can be any length really but if you go to the salon they will let you know if it is worth while you doing it usually 2mm +
at least 1/4'; for the wax to really be able to grasp onto the hair. Congrats on your new image!!
About half a centimetre.. and it hurts, but not that much if the salon know what they're doing, its worth it. Well done on the weight loss btw
    2 till 3 cm long.
i would say the shorter the better....less pain??
    about a cm
congrats on ur weight loss :)

well it will b the best when its atleast 1/2inch i think..

Why does threading make hair grow thicker while waxing makes it thinner?

Wax contains substance that may harm hair growth. Why don't you apply oil for the hair so it will become soft and manageable. Why does threading make hair grow thicker while waxing makes it thinner?
It doesn't. It might seem like it, but they are both pulling the hair out at the root. Eventually, some of the hair folicles may be damaged and unable to grow hairs, so over time, the hair can get thinner. Why does threading make hair grow thicker while waxing makes it thinner?
it may seem that way but its not true. both waxing and t hreading pull the hair from the follicle. its the same procedure, just different ways of administering.
waxing shocks your root folicals more.

Removing upper lip hair - waxing or threading?

So which one do you think is better for removing upper lip hair? waxing or threading and why?

plus how long does the hair have to be in order to get it done?Removing upper lip hair - waxing or threading?
WAX it.. if You have to wax your upper lip.. go to a salon. It's cheap to get it done there and it's quicker than doing it at home. I wax my own at home because I have been doing it a long time now. if You have never done it.. have someone else do it. You will be out of the salon in less than 10 minutes. If You are going to do your eyebrows.. threading looks soooo good. Removing upper lip hair - waxing or threading?
Personally, I think threading is better because I don't want hot wax on my face to cause problems like irritation, redness and possible infection.

Threading is really easy, simple and sanitary super duper sanitary expect for me it hurts a lot, though most girls will probably tell you differently depending on their pain threshold though I still get my upper lip threading because Its cheaper and easier

As far as length of hair goes Im not so sure if you can see it noticeably then its probably long enough
I've never had threading done (although I am curious about it as well) but DON'T wax!! I had mine done at the salon I've been going to for years, thinking since I've never waxed my 'mustache' before and my upper lip really needed it, I'd try it upon recommendation from friends. I hated it! My upper lip turned red immediately and broke out shortly after, and then the hair grew back all spiky. I had no choice but to off it again. I planned on it anyways, but definitely didn't wax. I bought a little battery operated trimmer instead. But it's your ultimate call. Hope this helps!
if you know how to thread id thread waxing the hair grows back fast threading i think also helps make it never come back plus threading is cheaper if you can do it on your own i thread my own facial hair upper lip and eyebrows and it works perfect super easy to do at home and it doesnt need to be that long threading grabs all the hairs no matter what length good luck an youtube threading eyebrows to get an idea of how to do it
Threading sounds really painful. Tweezing isn't so bad, if you get use to it %26amp; can do it right. Do NOT shave by all means. WaX is definitely your best choice. It may sting at first but it's gonna get better %26amp; It last a lot longer.... Good luck!! x
    shaving. in-expensive, do it yourself.

EDIT- that myth is completely unfounded. snopes it if you don't believe me
Waxing. The hair should be 1/4 inch long in order for the wax to grab it and pull it out.

  • How long does waxing last and is there anything I can buy for permanent hair removal?

How long a full body wax normally last and how painful is it? I am asking because shaving is difficult and doesn't last as long as I would like.

Also, is there anything I could buy for permanent hair removal? As I have naturally dark hair that grows back really quickly.

Thank youHow long does waxing last and is there anything I can buy for permanent hair removal?
i dont know about waxing, but the only permanent hair removal is burning of the follicles, witch is dangerous and painful. i would just stick with shavingHow long does waxing last and is there anything I can buy for permanent hair removal?
waxing works about as long as shaving, but it's a lot smoother and gets all the stubs off. And there is a way to remove hair permanently, but that's only if you're like really serious about it. It's usually only used when you're changing genders. It's called like foliculitis, i think.
Ive been getting my eyebrows and lip waxed for about 10 years now, and while the pain stings, it hurts a whole heck of a lot less than tweezing each individual hair. If I shave its back the next day, waxing new hairs start a few days later, but about 2-3 weeks before its back like it was before.

I have REALLY dark thick hairs on my arms and legs. I finally decided to get my arms waxed, and my goodness I wish I had done it a long time ago! The arm hairs did start growing back within a week, but very few and they were much finer. I had tried all those do it at home wax strips and they had never worked before, now they do as long as I do it weekly to get the light new growth. The arm waxing really did not hurt very much. Once they rip it off you'll sting for about 10 seconds, and its gone! No more pain than like a belly flop in a pool.

Sadly I have found nothing for doing it at home that works permanently. I've tried so many things, so if you find something that works, Id love to hear it!!

    Good luck :)
I don't know about full body wax, but waxing legs is painful enough, so full body waxing will mean long duration of the pain. Waxing normally lasts for 40-45 days.

I have heard that you can remove hair permanently by Electrolysis, but I am not sure how safe it is, or if it has any side effects.

You could try Braun silk- epil exelle. It is quite effective. It is just like waxing but without the mess.

    Hope this helps.
When you wax it basically rips the roots of the hairs out instead of leaving it inside the skin; when you shave the hair ends up growing quick and thicker. When you wax it's can take anywhere from 7-15 days until you think you need to again.

For permanent hair removal you would need to get laser treatment and it can be expensive but you need to have several sessions before.

Where can you buy hot wax ~ to do 'at home waxing' of facial hair?

yes they have it at walmart, or even the grocery store or a drug store. Get the Sally Hansen wax strips. They make them for specific parts of the body. You just rub them between your hands to heat them up, and then you peel them and apply. It doesnt hurt too bad and you can get some good results.

If you want the wax that you spread try Nads. I liked that but sometimes the clean up is a bit messyWhere can you buy hot wax ~ to do 'at home waxing' of facial hair?

you can buy a waxing gel from any store and then warm it a little and use cotton/jeans strips at home to do it. waxing strips are also avilable at shops..waxing underarms is very painful i tried once...so now i use hair removal cream from that

http://www.free-makeup-tips.com/hair-rem鈥?/a>How to do waxing?n how to remove hair from underarms n under waist?
you can use beeswax, which is made of organic ingredients. you should be able to get it at your local drugstore or the personal care department of a department store. when using beeswax, you need to heat it over a low fire so that it will melt. then using an applicator you sweep a light layer of the melted wax over the hair. let it dry for a few seconds / minutes and then just pull it out with one stroke. be sure to read the instructional pamphlet that comes with the wax to be sure you do it correctly. there are special instructions like which direction your strokes should be when you apply it and which direction you should pull when you take it off. also be very careful that you do not place it on your body while the wax is still very hot or else you will get a burn. it takes some practice to get used to it. good luck!
You can use the hot sticky mixture of sugar and lime juice. Take a small quantity on the spatula (the mixture should b bearable on ur skin) spread it on the affected area, press it with cotton strip and pull it in the opposite direction of the hair growth. But this method is quite painful so u can go for the Hair Removal creams available in the market. They r quick and less painful.

i used to get waxed but i kept breaking out so i tried threading. it really works and is actually better than waxing. it takes a lot more time for the hair to grow back and when it does it's lighter less thick. i definitely recommend threading. u can search google or whatever for threading places in your area. What is the best way to remove facial hair from a womans face, waxing and creams make me red %26amp; bumpy?

Is waxing a good hair removal method?

Like if I have a little bit of hair somewhere and it's not course or anything, and I wax it will more grow out? Like more than I had before, or will it come back thicker?

I'm just wondering... I've been using bleach and I just want to eliminate the hair.. so is waxing a good idea?Is waxing a good hair removal method?
waxing is best way to remove hairsIs waxing a good hair removal method?
Yup, I have been waxing for ages. It isn't pain, it just stings a bit at the very beginning. Once you got used to it a few times, its a piece of cake. And the hair will grow finer unless you shave in between waxing. That's a no no. Waxing last the shortest 4 weeks and longest can be up to 7 weeks. Then again, it depends on which part of your hair you wanted to wax. Eyebrow can grow a bit faster but finer of course.

    Good luck girl!
it depends where you want to wax. once you wax something, you have to keep up with it because when it grows back it'll be dark. i don't reccomend waxing anything except your eyebrows or your...yeah. if it's like your lip or something i'd stay with the bleach. if you do decide to wax, try a small part first in case your skin has a bad reaction to the kind of wax you're using. good luck!
When you wax the first few times, you may not notice any difference in hair texture, so if you normally have coarse hair, you will continue to get it. Continuous waxing will eventually slow down hair growth to a softer, less noticeable appearance. It is alot more painful than bleaching or shaving, but since it lasts for a while,(a couple of weeks to almost a month) I think it's well worth it. You might have to go through a few brands before you find one thats right and works for you. Start off doing a small section, and when you get the hang of it, you'll be waxing like a pro.

merhaba!!!%26lt;--- if u want pproff :D lol!Does waxing make the hair where u waxed darker?
Not usually. However it can cause other problems.

Time for you to start shaving.

Steer clear of bleaching -- when someone sees you against the light you'll look as if you have a glowing moustache. Believe me, it shows up far, far worse.

Which, like it or not, leaves shaving which does not damage the skin and does not cause the hair to grow more or coarser or faster. Best done with a men's-style electric razor, the best of which, for girls and women, are probably those from the men's range of Philips/Norelco razors (Philishave outside the US). Most girls and women who try a men's Philips/Norelco wonder why nobody ever told them about it before.
Well, what happens is when you have hair that you've never shaved/waxed or plucked etc. in your life that is exposed to the sun regularly it gets bleached by the sun over time so when you remove it and it grows back it can sometimes look like it's darker. Depending on the person of course.
Only slightly; but not nearly as bad as shaving. It's easier to control, plus it lasts longer. But you are going to have to get it waxed again. There's no one-time solution, other than laser hair removal which is rather expensive and you have to do it a few times before it completely goes away.
no it actually makes it thinner and lighter but it's not the best option on your face because it's sensitive sometimes.

bleaching is a better alternative because you don't get rid of it you just make it invisible and it lasts longer.

    hope i helped :]
No, it doesn't make the hair grow back darker. I will however, make the hair over time grow back thinner.
No not at all. Unlike shaving do that, even tho you dont notice shaving for example: Your legs, would make your hairs darker and thicker!!

What makes body hair grow so much? How can you get rid of it? Any experience with body hair and removal?Does anyone know how to reduce unwanted body hair? without the pill or waxing/shaving?
Laser is not what you may think from adverts, but it is the way you end up clean and smooth.

I am a guy and my Japanese partner wanted to do this. The first results were not very satisfactory, but slowly and finally she is as smooth as if there was never any hair.

Problems: Cost, I paid for it for her and it cost me between $2500 and $3000.

Pain, The advertise ';Painless, but after every treatment she told me how much it hurt, and sometimes it left inflamation. The dermatologist did not want to do the most sensative areas because in her experience it hurt too much, but Reichan insisted and that was done too, and it truly was terribly painful.

Visits, I think she went for 9 or more treatments, and they had to be spaced out according the cycle of hair growth. She couldn't miss a treatment. It took over a year.

But I must say, it seems very attractive when it's properly finished, and she is very happy with it. Only if she wears a skirt on a chilly day, she will say she feels it. Of course one can never go back.

Oh, she had it taken from under her arms as well.Does anyone know how to reduce unwanted body hair? without the pill or waxing/shaving?
    noway! its natural.

The more you shave the more it grows. Electrolysis is a good idea... Look into this
you can but some deoderant that minimises you hair and johnsons have so hair minimising bodylotion, you could always bleach you hair depending on your skin colour. xx
just bloody shve it off and stop being such a wimp.
try nair. its a lotion and you out it on, wait 10 mins, and wipe it off with a warm damp washcloth. its easy. you can get it at almost any drug store. i use nair all the time!!
LASER 鈥?The Choice for Hair Removal

    http://quick-hair-removal.blogspot.com/2鈥?/a>
Why do you want to get rid of it??? Natural hair is so much better looking, and you don't have the hassles, the bumps, and the pain. Hair is in again.
Wait a year or so until being hairy will become fashionable again
afraid not waxing is meant to make it recede and fizzle out although pain full might be worth a try or try an eppilator (now they are pain full) but i felt worth i only do it now every 8 weeks or more
Electrolysis. It sends an elexctric current and kills the root so everytime you go back it becomes less and less, as well as thinner and thinner. You hav to get this done professionally, costs about 拢15 per half hour and it will prob take a good few sessions but you do notice the difference, and its permanent. If you use a hair removal cream or something, it does not kill the root and encourages it to grow so more hair grows back and will be thicker everytime. Same with all hair removal (plucking- for every one you pluck another comes to its funeral! creams, waxing etc) apart from Electrolysis and Laser Hair removal. Sounds like things that will cost loads but they're not too bad, have a look if its something that really bothers you
    BURN IT.
Use Veet. put it on the area in question wait 5 min then wash it off. Hair Free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does waxing your face grow thick hair?

I have never waxed my face, but now im thinking of doing it.

I just want to know if I wax, is there ANY chance of getting thicker hair? And also, how long (minimum days) would it last till the next time you need to wax?Does waxing your face grow thick hair?
Not at all. Contrary to popular belief neither waxing nor shaving makes the hair grow back thicker at all.

Waxing takes the hair out with the root, so when the new hair grows back in (which will take longer than with shaving because it has to grow a whole new hair in), it will look and feel like thinner hair because it is pretty much. The newly growing hair is thinner at the tip than at the root.

Shaving cuts the hair off bluntly across the hair shaft, so as the hair keeps growing it comes up out of the skin without the normal taper on the strand, it actually *looks* thicker than it did before, even though the actual piece of hair hasn't changed thickness. The results won't last as long as waxing either because it doesn't disturb the growth cycle.

So neither of them will make your hair grow back thicker, but waxing will last longer because it takes longer for the hair to grow back in (I wouldn't recommend doing it more than once a week, mainly because you have to grow some hair back for the wax to stick to. Some people do it weekly, some people can last a few weeks, it depends on how fast your hair grows. You'll know after your first wax as you see how long it takes to grow back in).

If anything, there is more of a chance you might ruin a follicle when the hair is pulled out by waxing and stop that hair from growing back! :) It doesn't happen all the time, but it can. Shaving doesn't do anything to the follicle, so nothing changes.

Hope that helps!Does waxing your face grow thick hair?
Waxing does not make the hair grow in thicker. For some reason, it does seem to start some kind of growth cycle. You may have to wax as often as every other week, but everyone is different. It just depends on how much hair you have. Usually someone with more hair on their arms or legs will have hair that grows faster than someone with fine baby hairs, or not much body hair. If you shave it off with a razor, that blunts the ends of the hair making it appear thicker. Waxing removes the hair follicle/bulb, so it grows back in at as a more 'pointy' hair. If you don't have much hair to wax, perhaps you could try tweezing first. You can get an idea of how fast those hairs will grow back in that way. Good Luck.
it grows faster so you would have to keep up with it. you should just use a razor. axing it would be for a week and some days. Really bad choice though
i wax my mustache (thats so funny to say) and it lasts about three weeks. no, it doesnt make it thicker. thats if you shave it off.
there are creams that takes off the hair and it will not grow thicker instead it will slowly be thinner until it's gone
No, waxing wont make it grow thicker, but shaving will.
well waxing ius wayy better than shaving waxing might hurt a little more but it helps rip out the hair?

Why do I keep getting Ingrown hair on my legs when waxing? I use to wax before and it was no problem.?

I have red little bumps on my legs and I exfoliate but that doesn't help at all, is there anything else I can try???Why do I keep getting Ingrown hair on my legs when waxing? I use to wax before and it was no problem.?
Stop waxing for a couple of months....

When the bumps get bigger pull the ingrown hairs out with tweezers...

    The older you get the tougher your hair gets,,, the tougher it is the harder it is to grow out of your skin... So.... ';';more ingrown hairs';';';

Keep waxing after your little break, but, always keep an eye out for those tough old hairs... use tweezers to snag'em....

Hope this helps....Why do I keep getting Ingrown hair on my legs when waxing? I use to wax before and it was no problem.?
im not sure but i do have the same promblems.. its just the way that the hair grows back i guess.. but you can evenutally pop it with hot water.. the way you pop a pimple or zit.. it hurts a little but it feels better afterwards..
I also get my legs waxed. Alright, first of all, I will try and make this answer most beneficial to you but there is not an extensive amount I can tell you because everyone's body and skin is unique. It could be a sudden change in your body and hormones. this is normal. This is really a coincidence, because I sort of have the same problem myself. I used to wax and I could wear shorts right away. But now, I have little red irritation bumps and ingrown hairs. I can definitely tell you that the red bumps are just your skin's reaction to the friction because of the hair being removed. They should go away a few hours or a day after you get waxed. And as for the ingrown hairs, the only way I know to get rid of them is to exfoliate with a rough cloth or loofa and to use a soap or body gel with spa crystals or minerals. hope all works well!
Soak legs afterwards with rubbing alcohol. And wash your legs with antibacterial soap several times weekly. Ingrown hairs are caused from small infections. I am a male, however, I grew up with five women in the house (and no brothers) so I know what I'm talking about.
It sounds like you are not extracting the whole hair folicle, possibly taking only a part of it and causing the remaining folicle to ingrow.

It depends on who is doing it , how ( he or she ) is doing it and most important Ur skin sometimes the wax is not suitable for Ur skin or maybe it,s not good........ so i don't think you should do it on Ur face...... if something bad happens Ur face will be destroyed forever good luck .......Does waxing your face grow thick hair?
I used to get my face waxed every week or so, i don't anymore, because i can't find anybody who does a really good job. But actually over time waxing is supposed to cause the hairs not to grow because it damages the roots.
No, pulling your hair out (waxing) does not make it grow back thicker. When you hair grows back out then just wax again.
no.. only shaving your hair makes you get those icky hairs

For your upper lip you can have it threaded (get a pro to do this)

The results are really good and the hair doesn't grow back for about 3 weeks. Though the problem is that it is a temporary method, not long term. I recently bought a home laser machine (off QVC) and have used it on my upper lip for about the 4 months. The results are great and soon there should be little to none hair there!

I completely recommend this to anyone...it is expensive but completely worth it.

    Their site is here:

But I expect you could buy it cheaper else where e.g. ebay, qvc.

Oh, and for your legs, ermm shaving though waxing would be best! :)
veet hair removal cream is good for ur legs and u can get razors that are not as sharp but i am not sure about ur upper lip y dont u go to a beauty salon and see what they can do and mention tht u dnt want to wax.
I'm personally too much of a chicken to wax, so I use hair removal cream which is a lot less painful option! Or you could bleach your upper lip. Just go to your local chemist - they're relatively cheap and really simple to use :-)
You can buy cream hair removers that are gentle enough for your face. Just be sure to read the directions carefully because you can burn your skin. For your legs, nair works okay.
    Tweezing, sugaring, shaving.

If you are ruling out shaving, waxing, depilatories (Nair) and laser treatment.....that doesn't leave much in the way of options!

You could try home waxing strips if you feel you are too young to go to a salon. Sally Hansen makes pre-waxed strips that are pretty good.
after youve been shaving for awhile it wont hurt when it grows back in you get used to it.. it may itch a little bit but thats the only way to really do it without waxing.. and i dont think nair is safe to use down there..

Alternatives to waxing and shaving? laser hair removal etc?

Anyone got any good alternatives to waxing or shaving? i have like horrible underarms, waxing is good but i cant wait for the hair to grow long enough for it to actually work as a regular thing and shaving like make my underarms grey - YUCK! im seriously considering laser hair removal, what goes on there? or im open to any other suggestions that could be given? thanks! Alternatives to waxing and shaving? laser hair removal etc?
I have had laser hair removal from Ideal Image. I would highly recommend it. Basically you sit in a chair that looks like a dentist office. Then the nurse gives you purple tinted glasses to protect your eyes. You need to make sure you have all of the deodorant off of your armpit because it can cause problems with the laser. Then it takes about 10 minutes to do both underarms. They have this laser that is about the size of the opening of a 20 oz pop and the nurse puts the tip of it near your underarm and works in a pattern around your underarm making little pulses which are flashes from the laser. Then they usually put some aloe on afterwards because the skin can feel hot to the touch for a few seconds afterward. The pulses don't really hurt, but they are not exactly comfortable. Also be sure to shave your underarms before your appointment so they don't singe any hair.

The cost isn't exactly cheap, but it is well worth it. I financed mine and had it paid off in a few months. I would definitely recommend that you go to a laser hair removal place, DON'T DO IPL hair removal. I have had 2 friends do IPL and they still have a lot of underarm hair. One of them is now paying to do laser.Alternatives to waxing and shaving? laser hair removal etc?
When you see pictures of pretty underarms they're either photo shopped or have had laser hair removal. That's the only way to get rid of the ';ugly greyness'; I know, I've been there.

I'm currently getting my laser hair removal treatments at sona medspa in houston tx. It's great!

I've had one treatment so far (out of a package of 6 treatments)

And about half the hair has fallen out so far

    So when I shave there is less ';grey';

It takes 6 treatments over the course of a year (every 2 months) to achieve smoothness forever

    And it cost me $750

But $750 to never have stubble or grey underarms again I think is definitely worth it =)

    Good luck!
laser is pretty pricey. i have had my underarms zapped twice at $200 per time at my dermatolgists office. to me it is piece of cake appointment. Like maybe 20 minutes tops. i just shave my underarms before I go in, or they will do it for you, they use an IPL machine that is adjusted to my hair color and skin color. takes about 10 minutes per arm. zap zap zap, like rubber band snapping your wrist. then it takes about 2 weeks or so for the hair to ';grow out';. based on other areas i have had lasered, I will need probably 2 - 3 more sessions to be completely hair free there.

if you don't have high pain tolerance, you can get a numbing cream to put on before you go to the appointment, but I don't recommend it, it caused me to have allergic reaction.

i definately recommend laser hair removal to anybody. it is the best investment I have ever done. Though not cheap at all.
I have had hair zapped by an electrologist. It tkes a number of sessions and does hurt some (there is cream you can get to numb it).
ok first of all waxing hurts like crazy but shaving is a pain in the butt. maybe you should try something like nair...lasts longer than shaving but doesn't hurt
    Hair removal cream.

nair, you can get them at any drug storeHow can i get rid of hair downthere without shaving with the rasor or waxing?
Be careful if you decide to use chemicals such as Nair, Neet, etc. and use as directed. They will tell you to try on a small patch of skin first. Since you plan to use it in such a sensitive area, do the test. I have had very good (when i used as directed) and bad results (when I didn't) with these products. For the best look and feel, waxing is the way to go ;-) Good luck!
why not just stop and go natural??

any guy that wants you shaved is slightly sick - look at yourself.. you will look like a 10 year old girl down there.. who wants to be with a guy that wants to be with a girl who looks like a 10 year old girl??/
try electrolysis its more permenant than waxing.
you can try to use a hair depilatory cream such as Nair or Veet. I like Veet better for down there.
I TRIED ';VEET'; AN D IT WORKED FOR ME GIVE IT A TRY
There are lots of hair-removal sprays, all you do is spray it on, leave it there for a minute or two, then rinse it off, and voila! The hair is gone!

    Good luck! :)
I don't think I would use Nair. You could get a chemical burn. I know someone who put it on his balls. He had to go to Doctor. If you have the money maybe you could do electrolysis. I use an electric razor. It doesn't do a close shave but keeps it nice and tidy.
There is a special sensitive skin Nair, but I prefer Veet. you can get them at Walgreens or Target

if you wax your body hair, does it usually grow back?Waxing hair will it grow back?
grows back after a monthWaxing hair will it grow back?
it will grow back but it will be much finer and lighter it also takes longer to grow back than when you shave.

sometimes when you wax you can damage the hair follicle which will cause the hair not to grow back. i have patches on my legs where hair doesnt grow anymore cause of waxing!!
Yes, but much finer than if you were to shave or cream removal. It will also take longer to grow back.

If you wax regularly the hairs will grow back less and less.
yes, its just like cutting your hair. of course it will grow back!

Nair. It's a cream. They also have that foam that removes leg hair. But that can also burn your skin.
if u don't want nair or veet, etc... you could try smooth away. i've heard it works really well
Nair works well for me but smooth away you could use

Which is better: shaving, waxing or hair removal cream?

I've been shaving my legs for a while now but the stubble always grows back quite blunt and thick. I was wondering if it's better to wax, shave or use hair removal cream. I know that the latter two last longer but shaving is so much quicker and cheaper. Thanks. xxWhich is better: shaving, waxing or hair removal cream?
I've tried Nair and Veet on my legs and it didn't really work. I think the individual hairs are probably too thick. I use Nair or Veet on my upper lip though and it works fine. Unless you're going on vacation (in which case I'd recommend waxing) then I would just stick to simple shaving.Which is better: shaving, waxing or hair removal cream?
hair removal like Nair is somewhat cheap and easy.

Any tips on removing unwanted hair besides waxing, plucking or shaving?

There's always hair removal gels/creams. You leave them on for like 3-10 minutes and then the hair wipes off with the gel. Not good if you have really sensitive skin tho, b/c it can leave a rash from the chemicals it is made of (you have to test it on a small patch of skin first too see if its ok)Any tips on removing unwanted hair besides waxing, plucking or shaving?

It depends on how badly you want the hair gone and how much you're willing to pay. Laser removal is a good perm. solution but it is expensive and require multiple treatments.
    um not really.

    u could ttry laser

waxing lasts a lot longer than shaving. in fact, if u keep doing it, it will come back out less often, and thinner and lighter. [:

If not, hair removal tips?
Waxing removes the hair follicle, so you won't have hair in the region for a few weeks while the follicle is growing back (like between 3-6 weeks depending on how fast your hair grows). I would suggest looking into having the hair waxed off by a professional, it costs a bit more, but since they know what they're doing, it's easier then you doing it yourself (especially in that ';personal'; area).

    Hope that helps

Will my unwanted hair stop growing eventually after years of waxing and plucking?

I'v just started waxing so I was curious about that. Would it stop growing eventually after so many times being pulled by the root? Will my unwanted hair stop growing eventually after years of waxing and plucking?
I don't know that it will ALL stop growing, but eventually it will begin thinning and growing back less frequently.

I've been waxing for about three years, and I still get the odd hair here and there, but much less than I used to and much thinner and easier to remove. I used to once every three weeks, now I go once every two or three months. It also hurts less the more you go.Will my unwanted hair stop growing eventually after years of waxing and plucking?
If the follicles of your unwanted hair are damaged, then that will affect the growth--but waxing will not eventually make it stop growing. Electrolysis will kill hair follicles, thus completely stopping hair growth in the area of treatment.
haha, if you want it to, it won't. If you don't want it to, it will. But you never know for sure until you start waxing regularly. Your hair will probably grow back thinner %26amp; in patches. Or you will have a longer gap in growth time between waxes.
no...i wish! trust me...ive been removing hair from unwanted area's since i was 15...im 23 now and it shows no sign of slowing down...maybe by the time im 40 but by then who ******* cares...LOL ya it sucks...but whatever

Is waxing for facial hair effective?

I mean they say you should pull the strip against the growth of hair but with facial hair it's really short and it doesn't really grow in any specific direction so what do you do?Is waxing for facial hair effective?
AHA! The question of all questions.

First and foremost it depends on what you mean by effective? If you mean does the hair go away for ever? The answer to that is no. But the good new is if you keep the practice up it can reduce the excess hair by 33%.

Now as how to do it correctly. If you are an amateur the best wax to use is a cold wax, as it is very easy to burn yourself. The lip is a tender place. That's why kissing is soooo great!

When it comes to the way that your hair grows....Look at your upper lip in thirds: left below your nose right below your nose and directly below the tip of your nose.

Spread the wax first to the left, pull to the right. now do the right. Spread to the right, pull to the left. Now the tricky part: Spread from the bottom of the nose to the top of the lip, and pull up to the nose.

There are 3 VERY important tricks to keep the pain small%26gt;:

    1) Keep the skin tight(taunt) when you pull the wax strip off.

    2) Keep an ice cube handy to run over the reddened area after you have pulled.

    3) Try not to overlap. If you didn't get all the hair today give it a day or 2 rest. A little tweezing wouldn't hurt.

If you like, pure aloe, not the kind with alcohol in it soothes the area very nicely.

Good luck! Practice does make perfect. Is waxing for facial hair effective?
No don't try it, you'll get a rash. Facial skin is very sensitive and the hair is too fine. Except for the hair on your upper lip, which you could wax if you have a lot of growth, do not tamper with the rest of your face, please!
no dont try that ... bleach them instead if its bothering u ... that much ...
yea....waxing any part of u is effective

but my moms friend lasered her bikini line (i think thats what its called) and she said it was better then waxing.

I want to give myself a bikini wax, so shall i use veet hair removal cream or veet waxing strips?

how long does it take to grow back with each way?I want to give myself a bikini wax, so shall i use veet hair removal cream or veet waxing strips?
Hair removal cream removes the hair at the surface level of the skin. Thus, it grows back just as quickly as if you had shaved instead. Waxing removes the hairs by the root, and it takes some time for the hair to form again, and grow out to the surface of your skin. You can usually go anywhere from 2-4 weeks when you wax. It differs for everyone though. Some girls can go only 2 weeks, or even less while others can go 5 or 6 weeks - and even longer in between waxings. I go an average of 3 weeks or so between waxings. So, how long it lasts really depends on how fast your hairs grow back

For best results, I would suggest going to Sally Beauty, or even online to somewhere like Amazon.com, and buy a Gigi waxing kit. The starter kit - which includes everything you need to get started with, sells for only like $42 or so. That includes a wax warmer, a 14 ounce tin of wax, wooden applicators, lotions, and more. I have been doing DIY waxing for a long time now, and have found that that hot wax is far superior to a cold wax such as Veet strips. And, the waxes that you use with the wax warmer are kept at a constant temperature, so no need to keep running back and forth to the microwave or wherever to re-heat the wax. One other thing is that a company such as Gigi makes a whole line of waxes, and waxing supplies. I find that their waxes are superior to drug store waxing kits in terms of quality. Its just a much better, and more effective waxing product line than you will be able to purchase in drug stores. I think that it's also more cost effective as well if you buy the kit. Then you just have to buy the strips, wax and applicators as needed. And those aren't all that expensive. A 14 ounce tin of Gigi wax costs about $10 or so. And one 14 ounce tin will be enough to last you for several leg waxings.

But, it's totally up to you what you use, and which brand. I'm only making some suggestions based on my years of DIY home waxing experience.

Good luck!I want to give myself a bikini wax, so shall i use veet hair removal cream or veet waxing strips?
depends on if u like pain! the waxing kills and you can rarely do it properly on yourself and it ends up growing back the next day - so all that pain for nothing! so i'd say the cream
Depends on your individual hair growth pattern. 14 days, generally, I think.
well if u can handle the pain...wax.....it will last longer and may come back thinner

the bad thing about the hair removal cream is that it stinks.........its basically the same as shaving...it comes back fast
With the cream you only get a couple of days if you are lucky. It actually burns my skin and it isn't much better than shaving.

Waxing strips are the way to go. Keep the skin taut when you pull, and pull against the direction of the hair. It should last from a few weeks to a bit over a month, depending on how your hair grows. Some packets say 6 weeks, I've never had 6 weeks hair-free though.

The only trouble with waxing is you have to grow the hair before you can wax it which is a pain in between times.
Use the mini waxing strips. they work for a couple of weeks. Rip 'em off quickly to minimise the pain! The cream stinks and doesn't last long at all.

waxing and shaving doesnt do good because the hair keeps growing back. laser just cost too much for me.

i can get chemicals that others cant get because i know chemists. i dont mind if it will hurt my body a bit. anybody hav any ideas on what i should use?How can i lessen hair without using waxing, shaving, or laser?
well the only other option is hair removal or epilating

I have never done either, but my friends have and they say it works,,(although epilating really hurts!)

hair removal is basically just where you put this creme on your legs and with this thing (similar to shaving, but there is no sharp bit to cut the hair), it just wipes the hair off. i think the creme just like burns the hair off or something. You';; have t ocheck it out at your chemist.

epilating is just this machine where basically you put it on top of your leg and then it just pulls the hairs out.

hope ive helped a bit!How can i lessen hair without using waxing, shaving, or laser?
First off, don't put chemistry-grade chemicals on your skin. Stuff that pure and concentrated can only do bad things (burns, cancer, etc.). Try that Nads stuff out if you want. I've heard it works well, but it smells like dead fish.
Nair or Veet can last about a week. But theres not that much you can do but find a few minutes to shave every two days or so.
The only thing else you can do is hormonal therapy.
Just shave it isnt worth hurting your body using chemicals.

Yes it's very sexy... and as for the sex life, it's much better... don't have to worry about trying to get that stray hair out of your mouth... from a guy's point of view...

    :)
i have trimmed mine but i prefer to let it grow. im blond and its not very dark or bushy. do what ever you like. and no sex is pretty much the same wether im shaven or not.

Is there a over all difference in waxing your legs or using a hair removal machine?

I've read that waxing your legs will overtime slow the growth process. I've been waxing my legs and arms for the past year and i don't see much of a difference but i love the way it feels and how long it lasts. The problem is i can't afford to pay for it every two weeks and i have no time to do it my self. I have a phillips hair removal machine and was wondering if it is pretty much the same thing...

ThanksIs there a over all difference in waxing your legs or using a hair removal machine?
All myths, the growth process does not change depending on the way you remove the hair and those hair removing machines hurt like hell! Shaving great but you have to do it like every second day. Just so you know its also a myth that your hair gets thicker from shaving-it doesn't. Everyone is different just choose the method you like bestIs there a over all difference in waxing your legs or using a hair removal machine?
the machine is called an epilator and it hurts like hell because it yanks the hair from root slowly, while inwaxing you pull hair with a jerk hence causing numb skin.

well it takes years and years of waxing to see noticable lessning of hairand it also depends upon your hair growth.
From what I've experienced it's pretty much the same thing, except waxing lasts longer and is (contrary to popular belief) less painful, or so it seemed to me in the past 2 years...
The machines hurt, the at home wax kits, the ones with the hard wax such as the parissa ones that have no strips work well.

I want to stop growing my hair in back of my body. Can i do it with waxing? How long should i use it? Is it useful to spot it?Is Waxing body stop growing hair in body or make it slower?
waxing is a good way to remove unwanted hair and to slow down the growth of hair. if you want a permenant solution to getting rid of hair there is lazer treatments. but they are expensive.. i personally think waxing is the best way to get rid of unwanted hair.Is Waxing body stop growing hair in body or make it slower?
It makes the hair grow back softer and slower rather than when you shave having it grow back fast and stubble/hard
Waxing pulls the hair out by the roots making it grow back slower as it has further to go before it's above the skin.
The hair does grow back but not so quickly, it also grows back alot finer, you do not get that stubbly feeling.
It makes the hair grow back in slower.
It usually stops the growth eventually, and yes you can have your face waxed
depending on the type of wax you can use it once and not need ta use it again for up to 6 months
    Waxing won't work. The only way to get rid of hair is to have it burned off by a process known as ';Electrolysis';
Waxing is a good solution, but if U do not want unwanted hair then U must do this every couple of months 2-3 at least.

It can be somewhat painful depending the length of the hair, or, the other solution is a cream known as Immac which removes unwanted hair.
The only permanent hair removal is electrolysis! it hurts a bit and it takes many sessions, but when it's complete you'll never grow hair there again. I did the back of my neck and am currently having my beard done. Waxing hurts too but it isn't permanent. It only slows down growth. Check your local yellow pages for electrolysis listings.
No it just makes it grow bck thick and after a while it goes black.
It makes hair grow slower and much finer.
Funny you should ask this. A girl i'm friends with came round me house last night and got rid of the hair on my back n shoulders and used this wicked thing that looked like an electric razor but pulls the hairs out instead of shaving them. There was an ice pack connected to it that smooths over your skin straight away afterwards and sooths the pain. It hurt a bit but wasnt as bad as the 1...2...3...PULL! pain of waxing. Its great. My back and shoulders are silky smooth... And i'm not gay...
    waxing just slows the growth.
Nothing can stop the growth of except laser surgery for hair removal, waxing just removes the hair temporarily and allows it to grow back again in its normal course. If you want to stop the groeth of hair, I suggest you meet a doctor for laser surgery.
You know, back hair isnt as offensive as you might think. Any person that is repelled by it is probably flawed and shallow.

I've never minded a hairy fella, as long as they know better than to demand that a woman stays hair free, a woman shouldnt be pissed if they are.

    Waxing only slows growth.

If you have someone you trust to help you, you can always try Nair or Veet. It chemically removes hair, from what i hear, after a while it stops hair growth.
Waxing is the best way to do it, you usually get it done in the beginning every 6-8 weeks depending on how much hair and the speed of your hair growth, but with regular waxing the hair gets finer and it will start to grow back slower only needing it waxed after every couple of months or whatever. it is painful though but you do get used to it....
Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.

Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.

A review of the various hair removal methods is available at http://tinyurl.com/ob6tt
Waxing the face is a no no, you will end up with scars and it will hurt like hell! Getting some one to wax your back is a good idea and I would also consider applying a hair minimiser like Kalo lotion.

If you want to shave your back regularly then there is a product called Razorba, which enables you to shave your back by yourself using a simple razor.

I would also consider using a home hair removal laser like the Rio, which would permanently destroy the hair follicles with repeated use.

Links to all these products listed in the sources below...
It makes the hair grow more slowly so the more times you have your body hair waxed, the longer it will take to grow back. It grows back finer and softer as well.

so it is written for general conditions and not cosidering special codition of hirsute people.

Does waxing, threading, or plucking hair make it thicker or stronger?

I am a 15 year old girl and i wanted to know which method is best for removing hair on the face. I know hair removal cream makes it thicker and stronger and blacker, and i found that out the hard way when i used it on my legs. So I wanted to make sure before i did anything what the best method is.Does waxing, threading, or plucking hair make it thicker or stronger?
None of those things make hair thicker and stronger - not even the hair removal cream. It's just a (very common) matter of perception that your hair seems thicker and stronger when it grows back in because you have been hair free for awhile.

Also - waxing, threading, and plucking all do basically the same thing - they rip the hair out - it's just different methods of achieving the same affect. And they do have the added bonus of (over time) causing slight damage to the hair duct - so that the new hair will eventually grow out weaker, thinner, and sometimes it will cause enough damage to make it so it can not produce any hair at all.

Waxing is good for large areas like your legs. Threading and plucking are fine for smaller areas like your eyebrows.Does waxing, threading, or plucking hair make it thicker or stronger?
waxing works really well and it lasts longer then most removals.
    i usually pluck,

because store-bought wax strips dont work..

    at least for me
i'm a guy, but I think waxing is better because it removes the hair completely, and it does not become thicker or stronger, it actually becomes a little thiner.....that's what my sister does
    no
    no

Does waxing really make your hair less thick?

Is it true that waxing makes your hair grow back less thick? If so, what is the best brand of wax to use? Please help, I have thick dark hair and I'm sick of shaving =/Does waxing really make your hair less thick?
it doesnt make it finer, but shaving makes it thicker.. Get the picture now? Something even better than waxing and shaving is an epilator.. It reeeeeally slows down hair growth. I only need to shave my legs now every three months although my hair grows very quickly.. The hair on my head still grows quickly but not on my arms and legs since I started using epilators. I use Braun's silk epil, soft perfection! You should buy it!! :)Does waxing really make your hair less thick?
Yes it does. The density and amount of hair is reduced when you use it. I recommend nair strips. I usually cut the big ones in half because they are better than the smaller ones and use those. (For face. Ex. Upper lip). Or you can try just using wax, there are many brands. It just wax without a strip you pull of like you would normally do.
I think its bullshit...i think they just mean if you keep pulling the hair out of the root EVENTUALLY it will die its common sense...BUT they dont say how long...prob take 10-20 years just for that to happen...so ya its all BULL.
    its true
If anything, it will do the opposite, make it thicker....
    Stick with shaving! lol

I just went in for my first brazilian at the beginning of September. It was awful lol. And AFTER she was finished, she *warned* me that afterwards I could expect ingrown hairs, like razor bumps. Jeeze, would have been nice to know BEFORE I decided to do it lol. Also, it doesn't leave you silky smooth for long, as your hairs tend to grow back at different rates. You don't notice as much when you shave as it's done everyday or every other day...but when you wax, some of the hairs come back right away, and you're stuck shaving anyhow! For me it was just a pain in the a**..(and other places lol) and I wouldn't do it again. Or maybe I just had a bad experience? Shaving is quick and simple.

Good luck with whatever you decide. :)

    More oral sex!
Are there any? YIKES!!!!!!!! What a weird thing to do.

I can't think of any except maybe it'll take longer to grow back.
Less painful than pulling them out or razor cuts. Neater bikini line!
    i think guys like it

cause some dont like hairy girls
it just makes u feel better i guess

    @
    everything feels better
    you don't get so itchy
Less shaving time and smoother for longer.
If you have a lot you wont look disgusting in a bikini if you do and better for your man. . .
Definately the feel. Once you get rid of it and experience it, there is no other way.
Um, it helps in developing a high pain threshold?
it makes you look prepubescent and there for attractive to peados - and what sicko weirdo would want that??
  • eye mascara
  • What is the best way to remove hair from your chest? Besides shaving or waxing?

I'm a 16 year old guy with hair on my chest and if i try to shave it i get red bumps, what should i do to get rid of the hair but not get red bumps. Or should i just leave the hair. Ladies...What is the best way to remove hair from your chest? Besides shaving or waxing?
i say leave the hair where it is, on your chest.

men are supposed to have hair there.

and remember this, even if right now you think girls are not liking the hairy chest? eventually you will be a man and a woman will come into your life and she will love every inch of all of you, hairy chest included. What is the best way to remove hair from your chest? Besides shaving or waxing?
    weedeater
Well, you dont have many options if you dont want to shave or wax. So I guess you could use some veet hair removal cream. Make sure you dont leave it longer than the time recomended on the box, cause It will burn and you will get 'red bumps' and such :D
laser hair removal. hahaha. the red bumps are razor burn..you could try a better razor...
at drug stores they should have these sprays or mousse things that remove hair
get nair or veet its a hair removal cream.
buy a cream that removes hair
    a depilatory?

    Not sure of the spelling.
Chemical depilation (Nair For Men) or mechanical depilation (epilator). FWIW, I wouldn't want a man to remove the hair from his chest unless the hair is very sparse and squiggly-looking because that is just not very attractive -- like a sparse fuzzy mustache, it's better just to remove it than to have it looking like you can't grow a mustache.
    use veet
    Use Veet or Nair.
if you're willing to spen over $10000, then go to get your chest hair permantly removed by lasers. a lot of celebs use this and wherever they get it done, the hair never grow back

How many years of waxing does it take to have permanent hair loss?

i have heard that after a long time of plucking or waxing, u lose the hair follicle forever. i was just wondering how long it takes? How many years of waxing does it take to have permanent hair loss?
You don't actually 'lose' follicles. They just lose their ability to grow hair due to damage suffered as a result of forcefully yanking the hairs out.

How long it takes will depend upon the individual (IE: hair type, genetics, etc)

As an example: I began tweezing my brows at age 15 or so. By my mid 20's I switched to wax as the method for hair removal. I'm well over 30 now. By my late 20's the hairs which grew back were cut by about half, and those that do grow back are about half as fine in texture. I now only need to do touch ups about once every 10 days or so, compared to age 15 when I retouched every 4 or 5 days. How many years of waxing does it take to have permanent hair loss?
Wow, Lol. Are you trying to go bald? I'm balding, but I think permanent hair loss can stop me from shaving my head every other day.

You know what? I want to know the answer to that question also.
some people always keep growing hair. I've been body building for 18 years and waxing the whole time. I still have to, to this day.
    hair would always brows bad
i've heard that too, but i'm not sure about it

    sorry ;)
