What can I do about facial hair besides waxing and what causes it.?

eplitory cream specifically for the face or bleach the hair.

Certainly don't shave as it will make the hair come back looking coarser and if you don't want to wax the only other way to permanently remove it would be electrolysis.

Laser is not a permanent hair removal only a hair reduction, although all the hair could go it will eventually grow back but could take up to 5yrs to do so, also the hair has to be pigmented (have color) or the laser won't work.

Hope this helps. What can I do about facial hair besides waxing and what causes it.?
Laser hair removal is pretty expensive but it does the trick. You can also try hair removal creams.

Facial hair is caused by the fact that women produce testosterone. The reason that we don't look like men is b/c we produce more estrogen than we do testosterone. All babies are basically born female and the male characteristics come from a surge of testosterone from the Y chromosome to form male genitalia.

Some women have more facial hair than others because they have conditions that supresses the amount of estrogen the body produces (like prolactin disorders) and so, the testosterone levels, theoretically, increase and produce more ';male like'; characteristics. Some women also get more facial hair when they go through menopause because of the hormonal changes which are similar to those described above (except it is not a ';condition';).

Other women are just born with higher levels of testosterone, naturally.

All women naturally have a little facial hair. Some just more than others.

I use a sally hansen cream facial hair remover. I love it. I have very sensitive skin and it doesn't bother it! I find it at walmart near the nair...good luck...not sure what causes it...?!?!
Consider having it permanently removed via laser, they work wonders these days! It's probably an increase of your hormonal activity.
