i want to wax my armpits NOT shave it because i heard a shave can make your hair grow thicker but wax can thin it. which i want it thinner. i dont care if it hurts because it hurts being beutiful.Does waxing your hair from any body part make your hair grow again BUT GROW BACK thinner or lighter?
waxing tears out the root of the hair which causes more irritation, shaving trims it at the surface causing less irritation to the hairs, but in some cases more annoying to the skin.
That being said, either one of these cause your hair to grow back the exact same size! The only difference is that the hair appears darker because it has not been exposed to sun, and it's end it big and has not received friction.. once the hair is out in the open for a while it becomes thinner (used) so it appears lighter.
There is no difference the only thing we can hope for is that waxing destroys the pore after repeated tears and the hair will never be able to grow back.. but trust me that comes with lots of time!
Good luck xDoes waxing your hair from any body part make your hair grow again BUT GROW BACK thinner or lighter?
I think it makes the hair come in more sparse. I don't wax my underarms, but I do my legs and the hair is much less than what it used to be.
Ive been waxing my legs for a long time now and my hairs are blond and thin (now) and in some spots they don't even grow back. I would say (from my expierence) that after about 5 waxes you will def' notice it thinning out (but I never shaved either so I might be different) I just started armpits and arms... only done it about 2, but I am def' expecting the same results as my legs.
Waxing is def' the way to go! :)
Ya, i asy waxing is better because if you wax enough your armpit hair will stop growing /looks very thin! :P
NO. Actually when you shave it doesn't make your hair thicker either, you feel a stuble cause you have cut the end of your hair and it is flat instead of naturally tapered. When you get waxed it doesn't grow back thinner or lighter either... when you wax you are removing the hair from the hair follicle (the root below the skin line) vs. shaving at the skin line. When it grows back it is more naturally feeling because it is an entirely new hair, not the rest of a hair growing from where you shaved it off at. After many times of waxing, the hair folicle can become damaged and hair may no longer grow from that root any more... so perhaps after years or months ( a long time it could get thinner.
shaving makes it thincker and i think same with waxing
It'll grow in darker, thicker and faster. Same as shaving.
It has no effect on color but it will eventually damage the roots and cause it to thin out. The problem is that to wax it has to grow out long enough to for the wax to stick. Shaving is not so bad and laser hair removal might be what you are looking for. This also takes multiple procedures and there will be some regrowth.
yeah it would be thinner - therefore appear lighter.
I wonder how u wax armpits - the hairs are really in there good n they're thick. I tried to myself n couldn't get any out.
I'd get mine permanantly removed..
When I was getting brazilian waxes the chic said that it was normal, after like six months to notice it coming in thinner. The have permanent hair removal processes which in the end will probably cost as much as waxing every four weeks. One bad thing about waxing is that you have to let it grow pretty long before you can wax again, so no tank tops for you!
not that I've heard of !
no. and never live by 'pain is beauty.' it's vain.
haha well its true.. waxing will make it thinner. once you wax it more and more your hair will get thinner and thinner and the roots of the hairs wont be as strong. shaving on the other hand the hair grows back fast and maybe even darker. so try waxing.. it will hurt i will warn you but it will be worth it :)
waxing makes hair thinner
when you wax your body hair is does grow in thinner and thinner everytime and eventually when you are way old and have been doing it for years it will be soo thin it will look like you dont have hair at all and you wont have to continue waxing. I definately suggest you start waxing because you dont have to do it as often as shaving, it thins your hair, and it dosnt leave nasty razor burn.
hmm. darker.. but thinner.
I think when you go for a wax they put on this hair retardant that makes it grow slower and thinner. Maybe you should look for some in a beauty salon supply store like Sallys or look in the shaving/waxing section at Wal-mart, Walgreens or a similar store.
