Does waxing make hair come back thicker and darker?

I know shaving does, but I've always heard waxing and tweezing are ways to avoid having the hair grow back thicker and darker. However, somebody recently told me this was wrong.Does waxing make hair come back thicker and darker?

no it does not.. it only seems like it does bc when the hair grows back you notice there is ';more'; but it only appears that way bc hair grows in stages ; 3 to be xact. check out the stages of hair growth it will help explain more. you take away one stage lets say the oldest hair growth stage. well you still got the newest and the current growth to catch up to what you just took out.. make sense? hope it helps!
